ALKONAT® CE 500

A high-performance surfactant derived from renewable sources.

ALKONAT ® CE 500 is a non-ionic surfactant derived from natural and renewable sources. It is free of nonylphenol, highly soluble in water, has a low CMC, and is low foaming.

Composed of 50 EO obtained from the reaction with cetostearyl alcohol ethoxylate. It has excellent wetting and wettable properties and is compatible with different solvents.

The combination of less foaming and less retention makes ALKONAT ® CE 500 a better operating condition product than highly ethoxylated nonylphenol-derived surfactants. Its low CMC value delivers a better use factor and a potential substitute for surfactants derived from environmentally friendly nonylphenol-derived surfactants.

Applications:

• Low foaming oil emulsifier
• Monomer emulsifier, or disperser of resins in water
• Synthesis intermediate in the production of rheological modifiers
