FAQ – Suppliers Relationship Management

How do I participate in Indovinya's Supplier Relationship Management?

The Supplier Relationship Program is applicable to all suppliers in the categories of Petrochemical and Renewable Raw Materials, Utilities, Packaging, Tolling, and Logistics Services, which is connected to Indovinya’s Units in Brazil. To take part in it is necessary to meet the following criteria:

  • Fulfil the Quality Self-Assessment Questionnaire
  • Sign the Responsible Sourcing Policy acceptance term
  • Perform EcoVadis assessment
  • Achieve Supplier Quality Index (SQI)

Once these criteria have been achieved, Indovinya will carry out the Supplier Performance Index (SPI) annually, and will recognize the preferred suppliers according to their performance.

  • Suppliers are organized according to the following categories:
Suppliers of Raw Materials (products of petrochemical or petrochemical derivatives origin – eg. ethylene glycol, acetic acid), Utilities (eg. electricity, water, steam), Packaging (eg. drums, bags, pallets) and Tolling
  • Suppliers of renewable derivatives (products of plant origin – eg sugar cane, palm, coconut, corn)
  • Suppliers of maritime and road logistic services, storage, tankage and inspection services.

The EcoVadis assessment is one of the criteria of the Suppliers Relationship Management and is recommended to all suppliers. This assessment generates a sustainability score, which will be considered when calculating the Supplier Performance Index (SPI). Only suppliers that meet all criteria will be eligible for recognition as a preferred supplier.

No. A single term of acceptance of the Responsible Sourcing Policy will be requested, as well as a single Quality Self-Assessment Questionnaire and a single EcoVadis assessment per company, making it valid for all branches of the company.

The Quality Self-Assessment Questionnaires and the Responsible Supply Policy acceptance term will be revalidated every 3 years.

The Supplier Performance Index (SPI) will be calculated considering the Ecovadis Assessment score (30%) plus the Supplier Quality Index (70%), that is, (SPI) = (AE + SQI). Indovinya will annually recognize its suppliers, considering the fulfillment of all program criteria and the best performance evaluation for each category of the supplier.

If the minimum desirable performance indexes are not reached according to the criteria, an action and development plan will be carried out jointly with the supplier to improve its performance. After implementing and monitoring these actions, Indovinya will reevaluate the supplier, applying the Consequences Policy if necessary.
