There is a major concern in the oil and gas industry for the safety of platform operations. One of the causes of such concern is the significant presence of flammable substances, from the oil itself to solvents and demulsifying bases used in the operations. These flammable products can cause everything from fire to explosions.

ULTROIL® HFS 135 is a non-flammable solvent for emulsion breaker formulations, H2S sequesters, and other formulations that require a high flash point, optimum compatibility, and high performance.

In addition, ULTROIL® HFS 135 is free of aromatics, has a flash point above 100 ºC, and can be used in formulations with flammable products while keeping the final formulation’s flash point above the flammability point. Its high solubility in water and co-solvency power allows 15% water in the final formulation even with insoluble bases, ensuring performance, versatility, and more cost-benefits for service providers.
