Supplier Relationship Program
Our Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Program is more than a management model — it is a continuous partnership platform built on transparency, collaboration, and joint development.
Through this program, we aim to strengthen relationships with our strategic suppliers, promoting continuous improvements in performance, quality, sustainability, and innovation. Our suppliers are essential partners in building a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable supply chain.
The program integrates evaluation criteria that consider quality, delivery, safety, environmental performance, and business practices, in addition to sustainability assessments through initiatives such as EcoVadis and Together for Sustainability (TfS).
This model enables us to create a consistent global experience, reinforcing trust, transparency, and strategic alignment between Indovinya and its partners.
Responsible Sourcing: Ethics and Sustainability in the Supply Chain
Responsible Sourcing is a fundamental pillar of our program and establishes the essential requirements for supplier qualification and maintenance.
It ensures that all partners operate according to ethical, social, and environmental principles, aligned with global best practices and Indovinya’s sustainability commitments.
Our Commitments: Climate Change and Scope 3 Reduction
Indovinya guides its engagement with suppliers based on a sustainability strategy structured around two complementary pillars: Climate Change and Responsible Sourcing.
Climate Change
Under the Climate Change pillar, we have committed to reducing absolute Scope 3 emissions (Category 1) by 15% by 2030, using 2022 as the base year. This target reinforces our role in mitigating climate impacts across the value chain.
Responsible Sourcing
Under Responsible Sourcing, we aim to strengthen a more sustainable, responsible, and resilient supply chain. By 2030, Indovinya intends to engage 80% of its suppliers in our Responsible Sourcing program, focusing on continuous performance improvement.
We work in partnership with our suppliers to reduce vulnerabilities, increase business resilience, and contribute to limiting global temperature rise. To achieve this, we integrate social, ethical, and environmental criteria into our supplier selection, evaluation, and management processes, promoting responsible practices throughout the supply chain.
Supplier Self-Assessment: Tools and Requirements
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we provide self-assessment tools that are part of the supplier qualification process, enabling partners to monitor their performance and identify opportunities for development.
These assessments cover aspects of quality, sustainability, compliance, and operational performance, supporting the development of action plans and joint improvement initiatives with Indovinya.
Suppliers must access and complete the quality self-assessment questionnaire according to their category and send it to Indovinya (procurement@br.indorama.net).
Sustainability and Traceability in the Palm Supply Chain (RSPO)
The palm oil production chain and its derivatives, including palm kernel oil (PKO), present relevant social, environmental, and economic challenges. In this context, the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) works to develop and implement global standards to promote a more sustainable supply chain.
Indovinya is an ordinary member of the RSPO and, in alignment with these principles, has structured its Responsible Sourcing Policy for PKO and Derivatives, establishing specific requirements for suppliers of this renewable raw material, which is strategically important to our business.
This approach reinforces Indovinya’s commitment to a more transparent, responsible value chain aligned with global sustainability best practices.
FAQ – Suppliers Relationship Management
The Supplier Relationship Program applies to all suppliers in the following categories: Petrochemical and Renewable Raw Materials, Utilities, Packaging, Toll Manufacturing, Services, and Logistics Services.
To participate in the Program, the following criteria must be met:
- Complete the Quality Self-Assessment Questionnaire
- Conduct the EcoVadis sustainability assessment or TFS audit
- Achieve the Supplier Quality Index (SQI)
After completing these steps, Indovinya will annually carry out the Supplier Performance Assessment (SPA) and, considering compliance with all requirements, will recognize preferred suppliers based on their performance.
- Raw Material Suppliers (e.g., petrochemical-based products and derivatives such as ethylene glycol and acetic acid)
- Utilities (e.g., electricity, water, and steam)
- Packaging (e.g., drums and bags)
- Logistics service providers (maritime and road transportation, warehousing, tank storage, and inspection services)
- Services (e.g., maintenance services and consulting)
If you have any questions, please contact the responsible commercial team.
The EcoVadis assessment or TFS audit is one of the criteria of the Supplier Relationship Program and is recommended for all suppliers.
This assessment generates a sustainability score, which will be considered in the Supplier Performance Assessment (SPA). Only suppliers who meet all criteria will be eligible for preferred supplier recognition.
No. Only one Quality Self-Assessment Questionnaire and one EcoVadis assessment will be required per company, and they will be valid for all company branches.
The Quality Self-Assessment Questionnaire is revalidated every 10 years.
The Supplier Performance Assessment (SPA) will be calculated based on:
- EcoVadis or Together for Sustainability (TFS) score (30%)
- Supplier Quality Index (SQI) (70%)
Formula: SPA = (Sustainability Assessment + SQI)
Indovinya will annually recognize suppliers based on compliance with all Program criteria and the best performance within each supplier category.
If minimum performance levels are not achieved, a joint action and development plan will be implemented with the supplier to improve performance.
After implementation and monitoring, Indovinya will reassess the supplier and apply the consequences policy if necessary.
