Voted Best Supplier of Oxygenated Solvents for the 13th consecutive year and winner of the Coalescents category for the fifth time in a row.
The Indovinya division of Indorama Ventures – a leader in surfactants and specialty chemicals, with products in several growing markets – was voted best supplier in two categories at the 28th Paint & Pintura Awards, held by Agnelo Editora on the 17th at Espaço Vila dos Ipês in São Paulo. The company won for the 13th year in a row in the Oxygenated Solvents category and for the fifth time in a row in the Coalescents category.

Recognized as one of the most prestigious awards in the paint sector in the country, this year’s Paint & Pintura Awards featured 53 categories, 39 of which were for Suppliers, as well as eight for Paint Industries and another six for Personalities of the Year. The winners are selected through online voting, with the participation of companies and customers in the sector.

Among Indorama Ventures’ most innovative solutions in the oxygenated solvents platform is the ULTRASOLVE® H line, made up of molecules derived from propanol, which enables the formulation of paints and coatings with low odour, low toxicity and low impact on classification and labelling, according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), as well as offering high performance and excellent competitiveness in a wide range of segments, such as automotive paints, industrial paints, wood paints and printing inks. ULTRASOLVE® M 2200 (N-propyl acetate), another efficient active solvent in the portfolio, delivers optimum solubility and stability for printing and industrial inks, and provides high performance and low toxicity coatings.
In the area of coalescents, the company has invested heavily in the development of the ULTRAFILM® line, a portfolio of coalescent solutions for the different categories of decorative paints. Also noteworthy is the newest ULTRAFILM® 5000 coalescent, a solution derived from 100% renewable sources designed to be versatile for use in various paint technologies and have greater compatibility with resins. In addition, it enables the development of low-odor, zero-VOC formulations and is suitable for all the main latexes used in decorative paint technologies, offering a superior finish and greater water resistance and washability, as well as a lower tendency to leaching and dirt pick-up, especially in exterior paints.
The company’s portfolio also includes ULTRAFILM® 260 LV, a coalescent with superior efficiency in reducing TMFF. The solution has a boiling point higher than 250°C and combines attributes such as low odor and low VOC, generating paints with high resistance to wet abrasion.
