Corrosion protection for internal surfaces

The fluids from the oil production process are composed of corrosive agents, meaning the presence of acidic gas, high levels of salinity, and the temperature of the fluid. Given this challenge, the use of corrosion inhibitors is one of the most economical and effective methods for the protection of components susceptible to corrosion.

Oxiteno’s portfolio offers ULTROIL® CI  2080, which mitigates or eliminates the risks associated with corrosion.  This product can be recommended for scenarios such as acid stimulation, the presence of CO2 and H2S, and microbiological growth. Because it is an alco alkoxylated amine, the nitrogen present in the composition of the product interacts with the metal surface, decreasing the electrochemical bonds that occur in the corrosion process.

ULTROIL® CI 2080 is a tallow amine with low HLB values and is recommended for scenarios with the presence of emulsion, high BSW values, high temperatures, and high electrolyte concentrations.
