Oxiteno presents its broad portfolio of surfactants for the agricultural market at ISAA 2022

The company will present two lectures & one poster about latest innovations developments & methodologies for Biologicals & Crop Protection Markets

São Paulo, April 20, 2022 – Oxiteno, a leader in the production of surfactants and specialty chemicals in the Americas, will participate in the 12th International Symposium on Adjuvants for Agrochemicals (ISAA), from April 24-29 in Bordeaux, France.  The event, which is one of the most important in the agrochemical sector, will showcase the latest techniques, research, and products in the sector.

Recognized for its in-depth technical expertise, operational excellence, and customized formulations that provide gains in the efficiency of crop protection products, Oxiteno was selected to give two talks. Bruna Mendonça, R&D manager for Crop Solutions at the company, will present new methodologies developed by the company in the characterization of physiological changes as a tool in the choice of adjuvants for herbicide applications, and present case studies in SC and WDG formulations in microorganisms in solid and liquid preparations.

Andre Conde, Oxiteno’s Global Business Head for Crop Solutions, says the event is an excellent opportunity to get industry and academia together to make progress in agriculture that meets the needs of the future. “We live in a world that is increasingly aware of the importance of the circular economy and the need for biorenewable inputs that foster the development of more sustainable agriculture to serve population growth. Oxiteno is committed to this evolution. So, ISAA 2022 is an excellent opportunity to show the market our broad portfolio of surfactants for Crop Solutions that, in addition to sustainable solutions, offers applications that deliver high productivity to meet the challenges of the field,” says Conde.

Conde says Crop Solutions’ Sustainability positioning is based on three pillars that guide performance in the segment, namely: delivering food to the world; reducing environmental and social impacts, and the efficient use of resources in the field.  “It is part of our commitment to work with our clients to develop solutions that contribute to the efficiency of the application and help improve the availability of nutrients in the soil, generating greater productivity while having less environmental impacts. We prioritize sustainable raw materials and responsible suppliers in our developments, using tools such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to aid in the decision-making process during the development of new products. We also strive to reduce the impact of the application by improving the compatibility and effectiveness of the active ingredient, and to reduce the use of packaging and the finite resources, such as soil and water, through the development of intelligent formulations and lower dosages. All these differentials are part of our Strategic Sustainability Plan for 2030, considering relevant topics about Oxiteno’s characteristics as a chemical company.”

In Crop Solutions, Oxiteno operates in all stages of research and development, from the laboratory to the field.  The company works in everything from synthesis (basic chemistry) and formulation development to application testing to ensure only the best solutions are provided to our customers . Whether with renowned partners in the Agro market, or with its own laboratories for Crop Solutions in Brazil, Mexico, the USA, Belgium, and China, in addition to continuous investment in the development of methodologies, the company evaluates the various stages in the application of its products.
