Oxiteno to launch new product lines at ABRAFATI 2022

The company will also present its large portfolio of solutions for different applications in Coatings and will give seven presentations on innovations in the sector

Oxiteno, a leader in the production of surfactants and specialty chemicals in the Americas, chose ABRAFATI 2022 to present two new product lines for the coatings market: the OXITIVE 8000® Dispersant Agent, and the Reactive Surfactant OXIMULSION® REACT. The event, considered the most important in Latin America and one of the leading in the world, takes place from June 21 to 23, at São Paulo Expo. Oxiteno specialists will be at the stand (D52) to provide more details about the product launches.

The new solutions were conceived after extensive research and aim to respond to the challenges faced by formulators and serve market needs and trends. “Oxiteno works very closely with clients to understand their challenges and then develop solutions. We identify opportunities for the evolution of existing technologies. We researched and developed these new Reactive Dispersant and Surfactant lines that combine performance with excellent sustainability,” explains Silmar Barrios, global business head for Oxiteno Coatings.

In addition to the launches, Oxiteno will present its wide range of specialty chemicals in Additives, Building Blocks, Coalescents, Emulsifiers, and Solvents. “Our portfolio is always expanding, resulting from our technical/commercial expertise and deep understanding of market trends. We develop our solutions to meet the needs of our clients and contribute to the evolution of the industry,” says Hugo Gardelli, Head of Sales for Mercosur at Coatings.

Visitors to Oxiteno’s booth at the event will learn more about its large portfolio and can talk to the Coatings specialists, sales team, technical assistants, and marketing professionals. Oxiteno will also give seven presentations on various topics linked to innovations in the sector at the congress.

Juliana Pereira, a Development and Innovation researcher in Coatings, is one of the panelists and will talk about how reactive surfactants help increase water resistance in water-based paints. Alann Bragatto, another Development and Innovation researcher in Coatings, will discuss a study of surfactant tail variations that optimize pigment dispersions.

“Visitors to the congress will have an opportunity to see how committed Oxiteno is to technological developments in the sector, especially regarding the development of new solutions that have fewer environmental and social impacts. We seek to develop solutions from renewable raw materials, efficiently using resources to contribute to the development of increasingly durable and resistant coatings. Our Strategic Sustainability Plan for 2030 takes into account these features of Oxiteno,” says Silmar Barrios.
