- The pigment dispersion process
One of the critical steps during paint manufacture is the pigment dispersion process due to its complexity and time and energy demands. Aggregates and pigment agglomerates must be broken down and stabilized, so that the formulation achieves high performance in the final application.
The OXITIVE® 8000 line offers a range of dispersing agents for different types of pigments including universal pigment concentrates. The line optimizes viscosity reduction in the concentrate even with lower dispersant dosages, maximizes the embedded pigment content, and the tintometric power of the formulation.
Pigment concentrates prepared with OXITIVE® 8000 are compatible with different systems, whether waterborne or alkyd solvent-based. Additionally, this line of dispersing agents allows the formulation of pigment concentrates with low VOC.
