In water-based coating formulations, coalescents play a key role in film formation. These molecules primarily act during the final stage of particle coalescence in coatings, enamels, and adhesives, lowering their minimum film formation temperature and enabling particle deformation and interdiffusion of polymeric chains.

ULTRAFILM®, our line of coalescent solutions for various coating and adhesive categories, offers unique and innovative alternatives that provide low VOC emissions, low odor, improved film formation, and low leaching. It boasts broad compatibility with different types of latex, featuring an easy incorporation process even at high temperatures.

The ULTRAFILM® line also incorporates bio-based content technology, making it an excellent choice for renewable and sustainable formulations.

Our OXIMULSION® line comprises APE-free primary surfactants for emulsion polymerization and resin emulsification. Additives play a key role in paint formulation, being essential in both manufacturing and performance. During production, pigment dispersion process is a critical process that requires time and energy. Wetting and dispersing agents are essential in this phase to ensure uniformity, stability, and optimal viscosity, facilitating color incorporation and enhancing the final product’s value. Moreover, industrial paints additives are specifically designed to improve the quality of coatings, varnishes, and enamels used in industrial and automotive applications. OXITIVE® line can be effectively utilized in both solvent-borne and water-borne systems, contributing significantly to the overall performance and aesthetic appeal of the coatings.

Our OXITIVE® line of additives has been developed based on market needs and trends. With multifunctional surfactants, it enables the formulation of high-performance, competitive, and more sustainable paints and pigment concentrates that are low VOC (volatile organic compounds), APE-free (free of alkylphenol ethoxylate), and low foaming. Its high wetting capacity and wide range of HLB (hydrophilic-lipophilic balance) deliver greater flexibility to formulators, key benefits and properties such as levelling, substrate wetting and sagging resistance.

The building blocks, comprising special polyols and functional monomers, play a crucial role in various coatings formulations. Their advanced technologies enhance coating systems by improving resistance, appearance, flexibility, and stability, among other key properties.

The ULTRATINT® building blocks line comprises functional molecules that can be used both as monomers for the synthesis of polyester, alkyd, polyurethane, epoxy resins, and directly in the formulation of industrial coatings. The line helps to fine-tune properties such as hardness, adhesion, and resistance for a high-performance coating.

Due to their excellent properties and versatility, solvents have played an important role in formulations since the beginning of the coatings industry. There are several criteria in choosing a solvent for use in paint and varnish formulations, the main ones being solvency power and evaporation rate. The appropriate choice of solvent depends on the desired features, usually tied to the physical-chemical properties and their chemical nature.

Indovinya’s ULTRASOLVE® line encompasses a wide range of oxygenated solvents that enable the paint formulator to achieve the proper balance and flexibility in their formulations. Its competitive technology plays a crucial role in controlling the resin solubility and coating drying rate, which strongly influence the final properties of the film. This ensures efficiency in applications and proper appearance of the coating after application.

Its latest generation of molecules derived from propanol, made up of ethers and esters, has superior performance in the application, is an alternative to propylene glycol ethers, and serves several segments, such as automotive, industrial paints, wood paints, and printing inks (rotogravure and flexography). The line has low odor, high solvency power, and an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) friendly concept.
