PSA – Product Sustainability Assessment

As part of our strategy to develop more sustainable products in line with the needs of our clients and society, we developed our version of the Product Sustainability Assessment (PSA) methodology based on the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) guidelines, following the best market practices.

The PSA assessment is made through a series of qualitative and quantitative questions composed of environmental, social, and economic criteria, which analyze the product being applied at different stages of its life – from intrinsic characteristics, the manufacturing process, and use of the product by the end user.

Since 2023, Indovinya has been assessing through the PSA methodology the sustainability performance of strategic products in the existing portfolio for all market segments, to learn about their strengths and implement action plans to improve those classified as underperforming.

The methodology and internal evaluation process were audited and validated by a third party. In 2024, the methodology was adapted for products under development.

The goal is to ensure that Indovinya’s portfolio is always up to date with developments duly classified under sustainability, while also making it possible to steer portfolio development to achieve Indovinya’s 2030 Sustainability Strategy targets:

Have 15% of revenue from sustainable products* by 2025.

Have 50% of new products launched from 2025 and beyond classified as sustainable*.

*Sustainable products are those classified as Leader and Performer. See description below for more details.
